Patrick and Krystal Campbell have taken two more steps toward their goal of opening a new child care center in the Schumann Business Park. The Stewartville City Council, at its regular meeting last week, approved an agreement with the Campbells to purchase a lot in the park on which the 7,500 square-foot center will be built. Barb Neubauer, city finance director, and Bill Schimmel Jr., city administrator, wrote a memo to the Council explaining that the Campbells will pay $228,700 for the lot. The closing date for the purchase will be on or before Feb. 1, 2018.
