He married Gloria Bennett on Dec. 31, 1977 in St. Paul. They made their home in Zumbrota where they raised their two children.

He started and ended his working career as a meat cutter, working with Michael's Restaurant the last 20 years before his retirement in 2015.
Tom enjoyed gardening and had the talent for making anything grow - a real green thumb. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and especially spending time with his grandkids and family. He loved to read and was well-educated in many areas. He was a gifted conversationalist and quite the storyteller. A very interesting and entertaining man. He enjoyed wood carving with his wife and made many beautiful items.

Tom was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather. He was a very loving man, kind and helpful to all he ever met. His soul is pure and honest. His absence will be felt by many. Love you Tom. Rest in Peace.
