For many years, the Stewartville STAR, on its Editorial Page, featured its Street Beat column, which offered local and area residents an opportunity to comment on a variety of topics.
Almost every year, a week or two before Halloween, the Street Beat questions were, "What are some of your favorite Halloween memories?" or, if addressed to children, "How do you plan to celebrate Halloween?" or, "What do you like most about Halloween?"
