The Mass of Christian Burial for Sandra K. Jordan, a longtime Stewartville resident will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Stewartville with Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Jordan died unexpectedly of natural causes, on Friday, April 30, 2021 at her home.
Sandra Kay Inglebret was born on Aug. 18, 1946 in Stewartville to Willet "Bill" and Lillian (Bakken) Inglebret. She grew up in Stewartville and attended Stewartville High School.
Sandra was married on June 13, 1964 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church to John "Jack" Jordan. Following their marriage, the couple lived in rural Stewartville, where they raised their family and made their home. Sandy was a homemaker and was employed at Best Western and Textile Care Services both in Rochester and at Rochester Medical in Stewartville for a number of years, until her retirement. Jack was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Rochester Sand and Gravel for many years. Mr. Jordan died on Sept. 22, 1996. Sandy continued to live on their family farm.
Sandy was a longtime member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and the Stewartville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 164. She enjoyed spending time with her large extended family and loved time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sandy enjoyed baking and hosting all family gatherings. She was an avid crocheter and made sure all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had one of her made with love blankets. She was even so prepared all future great and probably great-great grandchildren will be blessed with one!
Sandy was always on the go; you could not slow her down no matter how many times her children chewed her out for it. She had many small and large projects that she was sure to assign to one of her family members for completion. Projects were always done on her schedule and her way or she would let you know or just do it herself.
Sandy also enjoyed camping with her children, Sunday drives and traveling, collecting dolls and angels and following the Vikings.
Sandy enjoyed gardening and had big plans for a secret garden this summer for the annual Onionfest competition she hosted in memory of her son Donnie. She won the first Onionfest Master Trophy and was confident she would win again this year!
"Sandy was the rock and glue of her family."
Sandy is survived by her three daughters and three sons, Richard (Terry) Jordan of rural Stewartville; Joey (Sreytauch) Jordan of Stewartville; Nancy (Ed) Nold of Racine; Mary Jordan (Rodney Bell) of Rochester; John (Tanya) Jordan of Stewartville; daughter-in-law, Serena (Donnie) Jordan of Dexter, and Heather Jordan (Tom Sexton) of rural Sargent; 15 grandchildren, Jackie (Jason) Mitchell and Richard (Michelle) Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Chhay Ouk and Isaac Jordan, Michael Nold, Nikki (Joe) Oeltjen and Cory (Amy) Nold, Natasha Minter (Matt Rahlf) and Karly (Caleb) Faulhaber, Dustin Windschitl (Mikayla Halvorson), Matthew (Jordan) Jordan and Willit (Kyann) Jordan, Lucas Jordan (Jessie Hale) and Emily Legler; 18 great-grandchildren, Joey, Oliver, Ryder, Connor, Richard, Ella, Shane, Chevelle, Ari, Patience, Wyatt, Mason, Peyton, Emberlyn, Aspen, Cash, Kayden, Amry, Taya, Jax and Levi; her brother, Jeff Inglebret (Ren'e Lunde) of Stewartville; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou (Ed) Rauen of Rochester and Lynda (Gerard) Jordan of Woodstock, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
